Anybody knows what might have happened to the poor oto? And what to do?

I've seen this right after I got them from the LFS but that is usually from them getting caught in the net. They have little barbs under their mouths that get caught on everything. Mine always recovered pretty well just though time.

the little guy slowly seems to be recovering also. I suppose may be he harmed himself when grazing on sharp-edged volcanic stones. Dead sure he was o.k. when I acquired him some couple months ago.
