I just got home from being away on business and was greeted by 4 boxes of things I ordered at the door. (Things are coming along nicely), soon I’ll have my tank up and running.

Here is my question to you all, If you have used or experimented with Red or Grey Lava Rocks in your aquarium, and have since retired them, I'd like to take the rocks off your hands to use for my own aquascape ideas.

I can really use some if you have any available. I would like to get my hands on some Lava Rocks to get my scape in motion. Any available will be greatly appreciated.

Shipping rocks can be very expensive. About the only economical way to do it is to ship as much as will fit into a flat rate Priority Mail box. What size is your tank and what size rocks do you need? I have quite a few nice granite rocks and some carbonate containing, but nice looking rocks. But, the biggest piece that would fit such a box isn't very big.

I purchased a bag of small (1"-2") red lava rocks used for a gas barbecue grill at walmart for about $2.50. They worked great for tying moss onto and I used them at the border of the mid and fore ground and around the base of my driftwood. I only used like 5 rocks from the entire bag and the rest are just sitting here. I would give you the rest of the bag for only the cost of shipping, but it would still be way cheaper to just buy your own bag at walmart. Look in the grill/barbecue/charcoal section.
