This is just a quarantine tank I'm using to grow out some plants for larger tanks later and to see what combos and transitions I like and will suit my goals.

It looks like Hygrophila sp Porto Velho.

No, it's not that dwarf lower growing species.
This one gets pretty reddish in higher light.

It's more upright.
I'm not sure the species name, it's called Hygrophila something, but there's no species associated with it, nor is there any belief that who ever gave it the trade name has a clue as to it's genus or species.

For now, I just call it Hygro red legal.
Easy to grow, makes very nice groups, easy to trim and care for, does not bolt for the surface that fast etc.

Color variable.

thanks for the trimming you gave me of that hygo i like the form its taken in my 75 an excellent mid ground for dutch style tanks
