The first step in low maintenance is less than "high light". The next step is to set up for water changes so they involve a minimum of work - either a very good Python type set up, or permanent plumbing. But, light is the determining factor for the maintenance needed. High light either means lots of pruning and fertilizing, or it means algae problems.
