I seem to have ongoing problems with cloudy water. My gh is 3 out of the tap. I raise the gh to about 6 using equilibrium. Kh is 6 raised from 2 with baking soda .When I add equilibrium my tank stays cloudy for about 24 hours. Seachem says the cloudiness should clear in 15 - 30 minutes. I am using TMG trace 10 ml x 3and supplement iron with flourish iron 15 ml x 3. When I dose iron the water gets slightly hazy and I get a surface film. This clears up in 24 to 48 hours.

Tank is 50 gallon with 2.4 watts /gal and co2 >40 ppm measured with a drop checker.

At one point I was using Kent Freshwater Plant supplement which I believe has a high level of EDTA iron. I did not dose iron. No clouding problem or film. I still had the problem with equilibrium dosing. I do not dose micros on the same day as macros.

This is really getting annoying. How do I fix this ?
