Co2 regulator: does output max PSI on the gauge matter? - 03-08-2007, 02:12 PM

Hello,

I just received my regulator package from acquariumplants.com.

The ouput gauge has a max 15psi. The insutructions state to set output to 5-6psi. I plan to drive 2 needle valves split with manifold in 90gal tank, each line going to an ADA Beetle50 at opposite sides of the tank. A poster on a forum apparently called the seller and was told if the output is driven higher than 5-6psi recommended it will damage the regulator.

Is 5-6psi going to drive the two beetles? (I don't yet have a co2 tank to test)

Is 15psi sufficent for most applications?
If it is true 5-6psi is max recommended operating pressure, is this a crappy choice?
Anyone familiar with this regulator ? (I got the full meal deal incl. Milwaukee controller)

Thanks for any feedback,

"growitnow"
Bob
