I read in the EI article that a typical uptake rate of NO3 is 1 to 4ppm per day in a high light CO2 tank.

I assume this is for normal uptake.
If the plants are on surge or luxury uptake could this upper maximum change?
or does the standard typical maximum still apply?

I am not asking for specific rates (although if anyone knows them that's great!), rather I am curious to know a bit more about the process. I am content using EI as a base and experimenting with my dosing on the 'make a change every 3 weeks' plan to find out what is best for my tank.
