It's like most branched green algae, it does well with similar conditions as the plants and loves high CO2.
Amano shrimp don't eat it.
They will clean any diatoms etc off of it.


You can search the web, there's a fair amount on it.
Marimo balls etc.
Tropica also has it in their data base
