BGA is widely sold as a supplement in Canada. Much of it is harvested in Upper Klamath Lake, in Oregon. It is touted as curing many ills, including HIV, with only minor negative side effects, such as flatulence.

Maybe there is a use for that stuff after all!

(I'd better add that BGA can also be contaminated with harmful microcystins, so one planning to use it should cleanse the BGA of that stuff first )
