Both are a few of the smallest of Dwarf Cichlids. TAENIACARA CANDIDI, and DICROSSUS FILAMENTOSA are my personal favorites, and mix well with Cardinals, Rummy Nose, and Pencilfish. I'd have never believed the Rams could actually eat shrimp, but it they are small shrimp or molting they are fair game apparently ??? There are a few smaller Apistos to consider, but if they are Robust and healthy I doubt they'd stay small for long. HTH. Prof M
